I am interested in the interaction of neural activity and synaptic plasticity during the early development of the brain. I will explore how transient networks, like the subplate, help in correctly wiring the brain. I will simulate a computational model of thalamus, subplate and cortex and study spontaneous activity based refinement of thalamocortical connections.
